HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and will have a healthy, happy new year!  We had a great Christmas.  Brady was very excited and enjoyed all his gifts.  We had a white Christmas here in east Tennessee.  Brady hasn't ever played in the snow, so we took him out and we weren't sure we would get him back in.  It was pretty cold so we couldn't stay out to long.  We had about 4 to 5 inches or so in the end.  We had some ice as well which we could have done without but it wasn't to terribly bad.

We don't have alot going on right now.  Our big task is trying to potty train Brady! Uggghhh!  It's a very slow process!!  haha.  He does ok though.  Practice makes perfect.  Our other challenge is getting him to go to sleep at night!  Although it's a struggle I enjoy him having so much energy!   Just wish I had as much as he does!

Brady won't  return to clinic in Johnson City until February.  He has scans scheduled at the end of this month in Memphis.  We would appreciate all the prayers and extra prayers as these scans come up!

Thanks so much for continuing to follow Brady and continuing to pray for him and our family as well!  It means more to us than you'll ever know.  We really enjoy reading your posts to us as well!

So sorry it's been so long since I updated.  I just don't have a whole lot to report.  Brady is FULL of energy.  So much that I wish I could have some of it!  It's wonderful to see him bouncing around though.  We are getting ready for Christmas.  We got our tree up and Brady "helped" (as best he could).  He wanted to put candy canes on the tree so we did that too.  He has eaten about half of them though.  We are looking forward to being with family this Christmas at home, not Memphis.  One year ago this Saturday Brady had major surgery.  I remember that day well.  The surgery took about 6 hours.  The phone would ring in the waiting room and I would jump for the update.  I'm not sure how we made it through those days after surgery with the epidural, ng tube in his nose and catheter.  Some of you may remember me updating at 2 in the morning while I was on my shift of watching him to be sure he didn't pull out anything!  We made it through it and Brady, as always, did awesome!  It's a happy memory though because we did it as a team with our family.

Brady was in the church Christmas program last Sunday.  He was a lamb, and a lively one at that.  He was everywhere!!  I told him that a lamb crawls and says " baaa" .  He did that about 3 or 4 times.  The rest of the time he was roaming around.  I was getting a little worried that some people wouldn't find it funny but most did I think. While we were sitting waiting for him to go up he kept saying " I want to be a lamb now".  It was cute.  By the end of the program his shoes were off and he played someones recorder.  I think he had a great time!!!

Jarred and I have had some extra days with Brady which is always nice! Tiresome, but nice!  We both have some vacation days we have to use up soon so we have been trying to do that.  We have also had some snow lately.  A couple inches here and there.  The weather is calling for some ice tomorrow so I'm glad I'm off and don't have to drive the 20 minutes to work.  Jarred only works about a mile away.  Hopefully it won't be to bad!

Brady will go to clinic again on Monday morning.  I have been taking him about every 2 weeks for labwork.  He has to have hisd finger pricked everytime now since he doesn't have his line anymore.  He does very well with it but I would love for him to get a break.

Well, like I said there really isn't much to report.  We are having fun with Brady and getting ready to have a big Christmas together!  Thanks for checking in on us and praying for Brady and our family!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

Love,

Jarred, Whitney and Brady

Happy Thanksgiving!!  We are happy to be having Thanksgiving all together this year!  Last year we celebrated in a hospital but you know,  we still had something to be thankful for!  Seems like we could always find something to be thankful for. Even though sometimes it's hard, remember there are many things thank God for in our lives.  We pray this Thanksgiving is a new beginning for us and a reminder to thank God all year not just on one day.  We know just how blessed we are and sometimes it's hard to remember that on a day to day basis.  We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends and a happy and healthy holiday season!

We are still doing good.  Just wanted to let everyone know that on September the 27th at all locations, Chili's restaurants will donate 100% of the profits to St. Jude!  What a great cause to help out!  Please, if you can, try to have a meal there that day!  Spread the word and here's the link http://www.createapepper.com/BigDay.aspx
